Help Grow the Imagination Library in Greene County
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is helping spark a love of reading for 700 children in Greene County, delivering a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age five. Now, you can help us reach even more young readers!
Join United Way of South Central Indiana for the Once Upon a Time Fundraiser!
Saturday, May 16, from 3–7 p.m.
at Fowler Pumpkin Patch (5060 N. Greene County Line Road)
This free, family-friendly event will feature a raffle, live acoustic music, food trucks, ice cream, photo ops with a life-sized Dolly cut-out, a visit from a fire truck, and more—all in support of local kids and early literacy.
Raffle donations needed!
We’re seeking donated items and experiences—gift baskets, handmade treasures, event tickets, services, local getaways, or unique experiences—to help make our raffle a success and maximize funds raised for the program. Contact chris@unitedwaysci.org to contribute to the raffle.
Here’s what’s in store:
- Raffle (Bring CASH for the raffle!)
- Pappy Shack & Pour Pony Food Trucks
- Live acoustic music
- Bruster's Ice Cream
- Fun photo ops with a life-sized Dolly cut-out
- A visit from the Eastern Greene County Fire Territory's fire truck
- All funds raised will help provide books to Greene County kids!
While the Imagination Library provides monthly books free of charge to families, the cost for United Way of South Central Indiana to provide this program is $32 per child per year.
All proceeds help put books into the hands of Greene County children.
