October 30, 2025
Bloomington, Ind. – United Way of South Central Indiana is pleased to announce the appointment of Erin Finnigan as its new Development Director. Finnigan brings nearly a decade of experience in philanthropy, corporate relations, and community engagement to the organization’s leadership team.
In her new role, Finnigan will lead United Way’s comprehensive fundraising strategy across its six-county region—advancing the organization’s mission to connect people to possibility through youth opportunity, financial security, and healthy community initiatives. She will oversee individual and corporate giving, major gifts, workplace campaigns, digital fundraising, and donor stewardship.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Erin to our team,” said Randy Rogers, President & CEO of United Way of South Central Indiana. “Her strong background in major giving, grant development, and corporate partnerships—combined with her deep commitment to community impact—will help strengthen United Way’s reach and sustainability for years to come.”
A graduate of Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Finnigan holds multiple certifications in fundraising and planned giving, along with a certificate in event management from IU’s Kelley School of Business. She is passionate about connecting donors to meaningful opportunities and building community.
“I’m excited to join United Way of South Central Indiana at such a dynamic time,” said Finnigan. “This work is personal to me because I grew up in a family much like those we serve, and I’ve seen how powerful it can be when a community comes together to make lasting change. I can’t wait to connect donors, volunteer, and community leaders with what matters most to them and help grow that impact across our region.”
United Way of South Central Indiana serves Brown, Greene, Lawrence, Monroe, Orange, and Owen counties, working to create lasting change across the region by addressing the root causes of community challenges.
