In an Emergency
Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD)
Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) helps people rebuild after a community disaster. United Way partners with local COAD networks across our region to coordinate disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
These groups bring together businesses, faith communities, government agencies, and nonprofits to ensure our communities are ready before disaster strikes — and resourced to recover quickly afterward.
Disaster Response Funding
United Way plays a key role in disaster recovery by partnering with local organizations to raise and distribute emergency funds quickly and effectively. Together, we help communities recover, rebuild, and regain stability.
